Marketing Assistant – Summer Job

Zera Café is a not-for-profit social enterprise with a mission to meaningfully employ neurodivergent adults.

We produce and deliver ready-to-eat meals and offer catering services for meetings, house parties and other events in Montreal.  Our menu focuses on delicious, modern, Israeli cuisine. We are seeking a Marketing Assistant to join our team this summer. This job is partially funded by Canada Summer Jobs program. Deadline to apply is May 20th.

Responsibilities: Provide marketing support for social enterprise;

  • Assist Director of Marketing and Communications with daily tasks and special projects.
  • Create marketing material, social media content, update website and weekly emails.
  • Develop and standardize templates for departmental needs.
  • Update packaging labels and heating instructions for all our products.
  • Revamp our recipe book with instructions and visual aids.
  • Run pop up sales with staff and volunteers in the building and off-site.
  • Coach and train volunteers on how to support our kitchen employees.
  • Give tours to potential and new volunteers, employees, etc.
  • Assist Job Coach and Integration Supervisor in documenting work processes and creating job aids.
  • Attend Special events on-site or off-site, sometimes out of regular work schedule.


  • Student and /or experience in Marketing – Communications or related field.
  • Digital skills: MS Office and other graphic software.
  • Knowledgeable with different social media platforms.
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills.
  • Bilingual: English / French – Spoken and written
  • Flexible work schedule


Standard work week: 30 hours / Daytime / 4 days per week.

Salary: $18 per hour
